My Story

Hi, I’m Scott Gould, I’ve been taking photographs of trains and railways since I was 14, a long time ago. I’d like to share with you some of my favourite images, and hope you can imagine them hanging on your own walls.

I’ve had my photographs and articles published in several magazines in Australia, Railway Digest, Newsrail, Light Railways, and recently in UK magazine, Steam Railway.

Aside from my photographic interests, I’ve had a long career in the rail industry.

This has given me a deep appreciation of many aspects of railway operations, from the people who maintain and repair the systems, major freight and passenger operators, and tourist and heritage volunteer organisations , both in Australia, and around the world.

My wife and I have enjoyed many overseas trips, with great railway adventures being part of the holidays, it’s taken us to some fantastic railway destinations and festivals and given me the opportunity to capture some fantastic images.
